About Us

Pull up to 3242 US-127 on a summer morning and you already know this is a different kind of round. The Mercer County Elks Golf Club earns its 4.9-star reputation the honest way: well-kept fairways even through the brutal July heat that bakes western Ohio, holes that reward a scratch player without humiliating a beginner, and a community atmosphere that makes the 19th hole feel like a reunion.

The course plays across rolling terrain with a back nine that borders a natural creek corridor. Recent EPA restoration work along that waterway has only added to the scenery, and regulars report it has zero effect on pace of play. Every hole presents a distinct puzzle, so no two rounds ever feel quite the same.

The club is affiliated with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, which means the traditions of brotherhood, service, and genuine hospitality are baked into the culture here. This is not a corporate tee-time factory. It is a place where the staff knows your name and the members actually care whether you had a good round.

What We Offer

The 18-hole course at Mercer County Elks Golf Club is the centerpiece, offering a layout that balances challenge and playability across every skill level. Gas-powered carts are available and will get you around the full course without a hitch. Tee times are easy to secure, and the pace of play stays comfortable even on busy weekends.

Beyond the round itself, the club hosts member events, tournaments, and social gatherings that keep the calendar full from spring thaw through the last warm days of fall. The clubhouse provides a place to debrief after 18, grab a drink, and connect with the broader Elks Lodge community that supports this course and the charitable mission behind it.

Visitors and members alike benefit from course conditions that the grounds crew maintains with clear pride, even during the dry stretches that challenge every superintendent in Celina, Ohio.

“Always a pleasure. Even with the remodeling. Golf cart needs some front end element. But still got us around.”

"Not bad at all for a local course. Good shape even for mid July weather that be stupid hot and arid dry. EPA is doing some work on the back nine with a creek in the area but has no ill effect it seems. #17 and #18 are awesome holes."

"Great course. Each hole is challenging enough for good players but forgiving enough for beginning/moderate players. The only negative is the carts are gas powered."

"Went there for the first time ever in early August. Club house attendant was very nice and helpful (he was driving around in the afternoon checking on people as well). Course was in great shape. Almost every tee box was well maintained. Fairways, bunkers, greens....all very nice. For sure will be back."
